National Park area and is of such great historical
significance that The Maine Historic Conservation
Commission designated most of the shores of Lamoine as “archaeologically
sensitive,” As recent as 1983, there were diggings by the local high
school students who found artifacts. Lamoine, Maine is located near
Ellsworth, the heart of Downeast
Maine. Lamoine offers several beaches and beautiful Lamoine Maine State
Park. Lamoine's State Park has picnic tables, grills, restrooms, campgrounds and a dock.

Bar Harbor,

Park, islands, lighthouses, and gorgeous views of Frenchman Bay and

Acadia National Park Schoodic
Peninsula in Winter Harbor
which is only about19 miles away. Lamoine State Park is open from
May 15 through October 15 (entrance fee). The park is kept open
after October 15th for cross country skiers. The official address
