Welcome to Prospect Harbor Maine.    Prospect Harbor is just off the beaten path and worth escaping to.  The town of Prospect Harbor is a beautiful little fishing villages that provides it's own amenities....a post office, library, beaches, harbors and shbeach cliff sardines photoops.  It is home to the one of the oldest Sardine factories in existence.  This harbor is part of the Schoodic Peninsula's Acadia National Park area which is just minutes away.  In Prospect Harbor you can get away from it all and enjoy the scenic beauty that surrounds this photo of prospect harbor lightharbor yet be within minutes of the downtown shopping area of Winter Harbor and the amenities in the village.   .  You will not find big hotels here, but rather will find bed and breakfast inns and vacation rentals along it's coast.

You'll also find the famous Prospect Harbor Light which was identified as one of the United States' haunted lighthouses.  Each evening while all is asleep, the wooden figures of the captain and his 2 crew mates turn westerly on the window sill.
