Paintings - Blue Hill Maine Peninsula Area

Blue Hill is a picture book like most Downeast Maine Coastal Villages.  If you like art or are a painter, this is one of those places to be.   While touring in Brooklin on Flye Point, several artists were poised for picture perfect painting.  Here is a snapshot of just one of the talented artist's rendition of the seascape at the left.

The subject this artist chose is a unique tiny island with two trees growing out of the middle of it below.   As a bonus, a sailboat navigates by on these famous sailing waters.   Opportunities such as this are all around the Downeast Maine area.

Painting is a favorite past time for many natives and visitors to Downeast Maine.  There are so many scenic areas that make the perfect subject for painting.  Many painters express what they see in many different ways and through many different techniques.  That's the beauty of art -- it's your interpretation and your play on shapes and colors that make painting unique.  Try it and remember that you should feel relaxed.
