Welcome to Acadia National Park "Seawall"
located on the quietside of Mount Desert Island in the
Southwest Harbor
Area. This part of Acadia National Park is something special on Mount
Desert Island. It is just beyond the Southwest Harbor where you
can drive right up to the rocky coastline and take in gorgeous scenery,
walk on the massive granite rocks, sunbath and picnic. There are
picnic tables in shaded areas with restrooms and picnic tables along the
shoreline. This is an area of Acadia that you shouldn't miss.
Just beyond these scenic areas, you'll approach Acadia National Park's
Ship Harbor Trail, a 1.3 mile hike along the ocean and through nature
trails and carriage roads. It is an easy hike and definitely worth
exploring. |
