Welcome to Acadia National Park Bar Harbor Maine's pay portion of the park.  This portion of Acadia National Park is where the beaches and some of the most spectacular views are. See beautiful sand beach, the natural wonders of Thunder Hole, views from the Cliff and Otter Cove.  We've also captured the mystique on misty days...it's all beautiful. To experience the roar of thunder at thunder hole, you have to catch it on the right day when wind driven tides thrust into the narrow granite channel where air becomes trapped and escapes leaving a thunderous sound in it's wake.   It's especially dramatic to be here where it's foggy.    There is a fee of about $20 per car to enter this part of the park for the week which is worth it to experience Acadia.
