Rackliffe
Pottery has been making beautiful pottery since 1969. All
of the pottery is made on site with native clay, shaped on a
potters wheel by hand and colored with lead free glazes.
At
the Rackliffe
Pottery Shop you'll find mugs, blueberry
ware, bowls, plates, pitchers, vases and wonderful gifts.
You can get just
one piece or whole sets of blueberry
sugar bowls, creamers, blueberry honey pots and bean pots.
The design inspirations come from the world around Downeast Maine:
blueberry, cranberry and wild rose, leaves and animals of land
and sea.
Nearly every vessel made can be ordered with a blueberry
lid too. You'll love the large serving bowls and fun
items like the piggy bank and the cheese dish. Stop in and
experience the quality of Rackliffe pottery and take a tour of
the workshop.
Rackliffe Pottery is located in
beautiful Blue Hill Maine. You can get there easily.
From Ellsworth, heading into Blue Hill on Route 172, you'll find
Rackliffe Pottery on the right 1/4 mile beyond the Blue Hill
Fairgrounds. Like the
signs says "won't you stop in"
You'll be amazed at
how pottery starts from the native earth is turned into
beautiful pottery. Meet the potters and see how pottery
is made. All are welcome.
