Welcome to National Park Canoe and Kayak Rental on Mount Desert Island.   Serving Acadia Visitors for over 30 years.  National Park Canoe & Kayak Rentals has top quality Old Town Canoes & Kayaks and Riot Kayaks.  These boats are safe, stable and fun for all ages.  And as always your pets are welcome.  Our rates include paddles, U.S.C.G. approved life jackets, map and instructions.  Just wheel your canoe conveniently across the way into the pond and you are all set.  Canoeing and kayaking in Acadia is sometimes at its best on misty or "chance of showers" days.  And on many days when all the harbors are "fogged in" the sun is shining on Long Pond and other lakes.

Just 2 miles from Somesville.  From Route 102, go right at the Fire Station & it's 1.4 miles on the right.  On the North end of Long Pond, the largest lake in the Park.
