A festival lasting a few days chock full of lobster boat races, food, celebration, fireworks, and a hometown parade.  Watch the famous “Fastest Lobster Boat” race from the bridge!

Independence Day celebration starts bright and early at 6:00 a.m. with a blueberry pancake breakfast and 10 a.m. parade.  There will be food, lobster races, music and fireworks.

You will not want to miss this fair. This year's theme is Medieval Times: Milbridge, Fairest of them All.  This is a real treat with live performances. Autumn Tree Productions, based out of Massachusetts, will put on many shows during the 2 days, including The Sheriff Bracken Show, The Pretentious Wenches, The Great Unwashed, Autumn Tree Armored Combat Company, and Wandering Court.  There will also be the traditional Cod Fish Relay as covered by Sports Illustrated, Pie Eating Contests, Music, vendors and local fare.

This is one festival that you shouldn't miss.  The Wild Blueberry Festival in Machias celebrates Downeast Maine's Blueberries.  Downeast Maine is the biggest blueberry supplier in the world and this festival  is one of the biggest in Downeast Maine.   There will be over 200 crafters, fine artists, pancake breakfast, contests, children's parade, activities, Black Fly Ball, food court, musical entertainment, races, pie eating contests, historical and cultural exhibits,and a lobster dinner, of course.  255-4402 or 255-6665
