Working Waterfront Celebration.
The Bar Harbor Working Waterfront
Celebration is what
Downeast Maine is all about....On this day, we celebrate
the fishermen. events include a Saturday evening Mooring
Ball, casual dinner and dance. On Sunday at noon there
will be a Seafarer's Memorial Service and blessing of the
boats at the town pier. There will be food and games.

Acadia
Birding Festival
Celebrate the ecological
wonders of the birds of the Gulf of Maine. Explore Mount
Desert Island and its birds through numerous events and
venues. Greet the warblers on early morning birding walks,
visit with puffins and pelagic birds at sea, and observe
Peregrine Falcons at an active breeding site in Acadia
National Park. Lectures, walks, and adventures will connect
you to Downeast Maine’s many bird species, diverse habitats
and local birding experts.

Fair.

this fair. This year's theme is Medieval Times: Milbridge,

performances. Autumn Tree Productions, based out of
Massachusetts, will put on many shows during the 2 days,
including The Sheriff Bracken Show, The Pretentious Wenches,
The Great Unwashed, Autumn Tree Armored Combat Company, and
Wandering Court. There will also be the traditional
Cod Fish Relay as covered by Sports Illustrated, Pie Eating
Contests, Music, vendors and local fare.

Sullivan Daze
The celebration of summer will
feature an entire day of food, fun and special events,
including a fireworks display over Taunton Bay that will
begin at 9 p.m.The event is a major fund-raising activity
for the town’s Fire and Rescue Department and its Women’s
Auxiliary. Firefighters will be serving up hamburgers, hot
dogs and sausage.

festival that you shouldn't miss. The Wild Blueberry
Festival in Machias celebrates Downeast Maine's Blueberries.
Downeast Maine is the biggest blueberry supplier in the
world and this festival is one of the biggest in
Downeast Maine. There will be over 200 crafters,
fine artists, pancake breakfast, contests, children's
parade, activities, Black Fly Ball, food court, musical
entertainment, races, pie eating contests, historical and
